Sprite Tea

A refreshing homemade beverage combining chilled Sprite with steeped tea bags, perfect for summer gatherings and quick pick-me-ups.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 bottle (12 oz) Sprite chilled
  • 1-2 tea bags black, green, or herbal tea of your choice
  • as needed ice cubes
For Garnish
  • optional fresh mint leaves
  • optional lemon slices
  • optional honey for added sweetness

Equipment

  • cocktail shaker or mason jar
  • measuring spoons

Method
 

  1. Pour the chilled Sprite into a tall glass or mason jar, leaving some room at the top for the tea and ice.
  1. Place the tea bag(s) into the Sprite. If using loose-leaf tea, put the desired amount into a tea infuser or disposable tea filter before placing it in the Sprite.
  1. Allow the tea to steep in the Sprite for 3-5 minutes, depending on the type of tea and your preferred strength. Black tea may require a longer steeping time compared to green or herbal teas.
  1. Remove the tea bag(s) or infuser and discard.
  1. Add ice cubes to the glass or jar until it's nearly full.
  1. If desired, garnish with fresh mint leaves and lemon slices, or add a touch of honey for sweetness.
  1. Stir the mixture gently to combine the flavors and chill the drink thoroughly.
  1. Serve and enjoy your refreshing Sprite tea.
