  • 2 ounces Vodka Use a smooth, quality vodka for a clean finish
  • 1 ounce Espresso or Strong Coffee Freshly brewed is ideal for maximum flavor
  • 1 ounce Pumpkin Spice Syrup You can make your own syrup or purchase premade varieties like Monin or Torani
  • 1 ounce Coffee Liqueur Recommended: KahlĂșa or any high-quality coffee liqueur
  • A handful Ice cubes
For Garnish
  • A pinch Ground Cinnamon For sprinkling on top
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick A decorative stirrer for an extra fall aesthetic
  • As desired Whipped Cream For a rich and indulgent topping
  • A light dusting Pumpkin Pie Spice For added flavor

Equipment

  • cocktail shaker or mason jar
  • measuring spoons

Method

Step 1: Brew the Espresso
  1. Prepare 1 ounce of fresh espresso or strong coffee and let it cool slightly. You don't want it piping hot for the cocktail.
Step 2: Shake It Up
  1. In a cocktail shaker, add the following: 2 ounces vodka, 1 ounce espresso or coffee, 1 ounce pumpkin spice syrup, 1 ounce coffee liqueur, and a handful of ice cubes. Seal the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds. The colder and frothier, the better!
Step 3: Strain and Serve
  1. Strain the cocktail into a chilled martini glass or coupe glass. If you want extra froth, use a fine mesh strainer to collect more of the foam from shaking.
Step 4: Garnish (Optional)
  1. For the perfect finishing touch: Sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice over the foam. Add a cinnamon stick for festive flair. Top with a dollop of whipped cream if you're feeling fancy!
