  • 1 cup fresh or frozen mixed berries strawberries, blueberries, raspberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped mango
  • 1/2 cup chopped pineapple
  • 1 cup spinach or kale
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional

  • handful ice cubes if using fresh fruit
For Garnish
  • 1 slice fruit optional
  • 1 sprinkle chia seeds optional

Equipment

  • cocktail shaker or mason jar
  • measuring spoons

Method

Prepare the Ingredients
  1. Peel and slice the banana. If using fresh fruit, wash and prep the berries, mango, and pineapple.
Load the Blender
  1. In the blender, add the banana, mixed berries, mango, pineapple, spinach or kale, Greek yogurt, and honey or maple syrup if desired.
Add Liquid
  1. Pour in the coconut water or almond milk. This will help to achieve the desired consistency.
Blend Away
  1. Put the lid on the blender and blend the ingredients until they form a smooth, creamy mixture. If using fresh fruit, consider adding a handful of ice cubes to the blender for a chilled smoothie.
Taste and Adjust
  1. Once blended, taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness or consistency if necessary. You can add more honey or maple syrup for sweetness or more coconut water or almond milk for a smoother texture.
Serve and Enjoy
  1. Pour the planet smoothie into glasses and add a colorful straw for fun. Garnish with a slice of fruit or a sprinkle of chia seeds, if desired.
