Ingredients

  • 2 oz Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey
  • 4 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 oz simple syrup or to taste
  • 1 cup water for simple syrup
  • 1 cup sugar for simple syrup
  • 2-3 medium lemons fresh, for juicing
  • as needed ice
For Garnish
  • 1 slice lemon
  • 1 sprig fresh mint

Equipment

  • cocktail shaker or mason jar
  • measuring spoons

Method

Make the syrup
  1. In a small saucepan, combine equal parts water and sugar (e.g., 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar). Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let it cool. This can be made in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Juice your lemons
  1. For the best results, use fresh lemons and roll them on the countertop before cutting to help release more juice. You'll need about 2-3 medium-sized lemons to yield 4 oz of juice.
Mix
  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and simple syrup. Adjust the amount of simple syrup to your desired sweetness level.
Ice
  1. Add ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds to chill the mixture and combine the ingredients well. Fill a tall glass with ice and strain the mixture over the ice.
Garnish
  1. Garnish with a lemon slice and a sprig of fresh mint for a pop of color and an extra layer of freshness.
Serve
  1. Stir gently, sit back, and enjoy your refreshing Jack Daniel's Honey Lemonade.
