  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso 1-2 shots espresso
  • 1 cup milk whole, almond, oat, or any preferred milk
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling
  • 1 tablespoon caramel syrup
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Topping
  • whipped cream or Dutch Bros Soft Top® substitute
  • caramel sauce for drizzling
  • raw sugar or turbinado sugar for sprinkling

Equipment

  • cocktail shaker or mason jar
  • measuring spoons

Method

  1. Brew your coffee using your preferred method to brew a strong cup of coffee or prepare 1-2 shots of espresso. Set aside.
  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk, pumpkin puree, caramel syrup, maple syrup, and pumpkin pie spice. Stir constantly until the mixture is steaming and the ingredients are fully blended. Do not let it boil.
  1. Once the milk mixture is heated, remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  1. Using a handheld milk frother, whisk, or blender, froth the milk until it becomes creamy and slightly foamy.
  1. Pour the brewed coffee or espresso into a large mug. Gently add the milk mixture to the coffee, holding back the foam with a spoon. Pour the foam on top of the drink as the final layer.
  1. Generously dollop whipped cream (or your Soft Top® substitute) on the top. Drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with raw sugar for that signature brûlée crunch.
