Ingredients

Core Ingredients
  • 2 ounces Cutwater Rum (White Rum or Spiced Rum)
  • 2 ounces Pineapple Juice
  • 2 ounces Cream of Coconut such as Coco López for an authentic taste
  • 1 cup Ice or more for a thicker, blended drink
Optional Additions
  • ½ ounce Lime Juice for a zesty twist
  • A few pieces Pineapple Chunks fresh or frozen to enhance the fruity profile
  • ¼ teaspoon Vanilla Extract for added depth
For Garnish
  • 1 Pineapple Wedge fresh for that tropical finishing touch
  • 1 Maraschino Cherry classic garnish
  • 1 sprinkle Shredded Coconut for extra flair

Equipment

  • cocktail shaker or mason jar
  • measuring spoons

Method

  1. Prep Your Blender: Start by adding Cutwater Rum, pineapple juice, cream of coconut, and ice to your blender. If you're using optional ingredients like lime juice or pineapple chunks, toss them in now too.
  1. Blend Until Smooth: Blend on high speed until the cocktail is creamy and thick. This usually takes 20-30 seconds, depending on your blender and ice consistency.
  1. Taste & Adjust: Before pouring, take a small sip to ensure the balance of flavors. If it's too sweet, add a splash of lime juice. If the coconut isn't strong enough, add a touch more cream of coconut.
  1. Serve in Style: Pour your Pina Colada into a chilled glass, preferably a hurricane glass or tiki mug for maximum tropical vibes.
  1. Garnish: Add a pineapple wedge, a maraschino cherry, and a sprinkle of shredded coconut on top. For extra fun, throw in a colorful cocktail umbrella or straw!
