- Prepare Your Espresso: Brew a fresh shot of espresso or make a very strong cold brew concentrate. You want it hot or at room temp, not cold, for better froth.
- Chill Your Martini Glass: Place your martini glass in the freezer while you work. A cold glass keeps your cocktail crisp and refreshing.
- Combine the Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, add a generous handful of ice. Pour in 2 oz vodka, 1 oz freshly brewed espresso or cold brew concentrate, 0.75 oz coffee liqueur, and 0.25 oz vanilla syrup (or simple syrup).
- Shake Vigorously: Seal the shaker tightly and shake hard for 15–20 seconds.
- Strain and Serve: Double strain (using a fine mesh strainer) into your chilled martini glass. This removes ice shards and gives you that smooth, luxurious finish.
- Garnish (Optional): Float three coffee beans on top as a classic garnish. You can also add a tiny sprinkle of cocoa powder for flair.
