Ingredients

For the Base
  • 1 cup ice cubes fill glass to top
  • 8 oz Blue Rebel energy drink or substitute with Red Bull
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry syrup Torani or Monin brand preferred
Optional Cream Topping
  • 2 tablespoons half and half or heavy cream for blended version
  • 1 tablespoon whipped cream for topping if desired

Equipment

  • tall glass
  • measuring spoons
  • long spoon or straw for stirring

Method

  1. Fill a 16-ounce glass completely with ice cubes, packing them down slightly to create a solid base. The ice should reach the very top of the glass to ensure your drink stays cold and properly diluted throughout enjoyment.
  2. Pour the strawberry syrup directly over the ice, allowing it to settle at the bottom of the glass. You'll see the vibrant red syrup pooling beneath the ice, which will create beautiful color swirls when you add the energy drink.
  3. Slowly pour the Blue Rebel energy drink over the ice, filling the glass about 3/4 full. Pour gently to preserve the carbonation and watch as the drink creates a gradient effect with the strawberry syrup at the bottom.
  4. If making the cream version, add the half and half now by pouring it slowly over the back of a spoon to create a layered effect. The cream will float on top initially before slowly mixing with the energy drink, creating a beautiful pink color.
  5. Using a long spoon or straw, gently stir the drink from bottom to top to combine all ingredients. Stir just enough to blend the flavors while maintaining some carbonation - about 5-6 gentle stirs should create a uniform pink color throughout.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding an additional 1/2 tablespoon of strawberry syrup. The drink should have a balanced sweet-tart flavor with prominent strawberry notes and a slight energy drink tang.
  7. For the finishing touch, add a dollop of whipped cream on top if desired and insert a wide straw. Serve immediately while the drink is still cold and fizzy, enjoying the refreshing strawberry flavor and energizing caffeine boost.
